Writers Submission Guidelines

We at JustSayGo.com hope that you’ll consider us as another outlet for your travel writing. JSG is an all-volunteer travel web ‘zine, which means that, at the moment, we are unable to pay for articles (if it’s any consolation, nobody on JSG’s staff—from the owner to the editors to the producers—gets paid either). We continue to grow, however, and are working towards building sponsorships and eventual funding.

We are also committed to producing a quality publication and we welcome your submissions. That doesn’t mean that every article will be right for us; we may ask you to revise your article, and there may be articles we can’t publish at all. But we take each submission seriously and look forward to working with you. Of course, we provide the appropriate credits, and you retain all rights to your articles.

There are a few guidelines we ask you to follow to make the editorial and production process a bit easier. Please take a moment to look these over, and then send any submissions and/or questions to submit@justsaygo.com.

Article Length
Articles usually run between 500-1000 words.

Photos
Please submit photographs at the same time as the articles. We like to include 3-5 photos with each article; captions are not needed. If the photos should appear at a specific place in the article, please let us know.

Article Publishing Schedule
Since all of the JustSayGo staff are volunteers and we all have “real world” jobs as well, we can’t post the articles instantaneously. We do try to have them up within 2-4 weeks of acceptance; the production schedule may vary though. Don’t get impatient (or send nasty letters!)…we’re working as quickly as we can!
